Highlands Pet Hospital is looking for a Full Time Associate Veterinarian to join our team!

YOU: A friendly and outgoing Veterinary Associate who is looking to provide excellent patient care to a well established and growing client base. We are more than happy to invite new, graduating Veterinarians to begin their careers here, ensuring a high level of support, mentorship and ongoing education.  Excellent client communication skills that are practiced with a smile, possessing a willingness to grow, embrace change and technology are all must haves for our ideal candidate. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about veterinary medicine, enjoys collaborating with a team, and  is compassionate and driven to provide high quality care. Our practice is equipped with standard medical equipment (in-house labs, digital radiography, digital dental x-rays, tonometer, multiparameter monitors, and ultrasound.) 

MAJOR JOB SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be a licensed DVM with the ABVMA. You must work well under pressure and have the ability to multitask, work well with other team members and be professional at all times. Strong communication skills delivered in a friendly, compassionate way are a must. You’ll need to embrace technology and enjoy working with computers, have a moderate level of comfort/skill with and be willing to learn about new technology. We need someone enthusiastic and eager to learn!

We currently have one full time veterinarian and are looking to add a second full time DVM to meet the ever growing needs of our clients and patients. We have a fantastic team of 8 support staff who work hard together to provide care for our feline and canine patients. THE AREA: We are located in beautiful Lethbridge, Alberta. Although you may have to get used to the wind, you can be sure to enjoy beautiful summers, gorgeous fall weather in the coulees, and warmer winters. Just a short drive to the mountains, Lethbridge makes for an Adventurers’ favorite place to live. You will find an abundance of outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking or paddle boarding in the summer, along with snowboarding and skiing in the winter. Lethbridge is a wonderful place to raise a family with its many great communities, schools and an abundance of extracurricular activities. 

MAJOR JOB BENEFITS:This is a full time position. We are currently open Monday, Wednesday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Tuesday from 8:00 to 7:30 pm. Tuesday shifts will alternate between early and late clinic. We are closed weekends and holidays. We do not provide after hours emergency services but rather refer to a 24 hour facility here in Lethbridge, therefore no call will be required.
